Skin Care Guidelines and Info.

Before Your Facial

Oncology Esthetics Your comfort and safety guide every decision we make together. Before your visit:

  • Share any current medical care, medications, or recent health changes so I can tailor your service thoughtfully

  • Check in with your oncology care team before booking if you are actively receiving chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy

  • Avoid new skin care products or topical medications on the service area for at least one week prior to your session

  • If your skin is feeling especially sensitive or has any open or irritated areas, please reach out before your visit so we can adjust together

Sensitive Skin Your skin tells its own story, and I'm here to listen. Before your visit:

  • Pause active ingredients like retinoids, exfoliating acids, or enzymes for at least one week prior

  • Avoid excess sun, heat, or steam 24-48 hours before your appointment

  • If you're in an active flare or reaction, just reach out and we'll figure out the best next step together

  • Share any known allergies or product sensitivities at intake. No detail is too small

Day of Your Appointment I want you to arrive feeling as comfortable as possible:

  • Arrive with a clean face or service area, free of makeup, lotion, or fragrance

  • Have a light snack and stay well hydrated, especially if you're navigating treatment fatigue or sensitivity

  • Wear loose, soft clothing that's easy to change in and out of

  • Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in without feeling rushed

  • If you haven't already, please complete your client history intake form before your visit, so our time together is fully dedicated to you

  • Let me know how you're feeling that day, physically and emotionally. There's no wrong answer

  • If anything has changed since you booked, just give me a heads up

A Few Good Things to Know Services may occasionally be gently adjusted or rescheduled based on what your skin needs that day, and I always handle these moments with care and respect. All services are esthetic in nature and intended for relaxation and skin barrier support only. Any decisions related to your medical care remain entirely your own.

After Your Facial

The First 24 Hours Your skin has just been lovingly cared for, let's keep that good feeling going:

  • Keep skin clean and avoid touching or picking at the service area

  • Skip makeup if you can, or opt for clean mineral-based products if needed

  • Avoid active ingredients like retinoids, exfoliating acids, or enzymes for 48-72 hours

  • Stay out of direct sun, tanning beds, and UV exposure. A gentle mineral SPF is your best friend outdoors

  • Skip the gym, sauna, or anything that creates excess heat or sweat for 24 hours

  • Lukewarm showers only, your skin barrier is still settling in

  • Some redness or mild sensitivity is completely normal. If anything feels concerning, please reach out

Nourish & Support

  • Drink plenty of water, hydration supports your skin from the inside out

  • Keep skin care simple and gentle for the next few days

  • Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer as needed to support your skin barrier

  • If you received extractions, let your skin settle on its own. No picking or pressing

For Our Oncology & Sensitive Skin Clients

Be extra gentle and patient with your skin in the days following your service. If you notice unexpected changes or anything that feels off, please reach out before applying anything new. Rest when you need to. Caring for yourself goes beyond what happens during your session. You know your body best, and I'm always just a message away.

When to Reach Out Please don't hesitate to contact me if you experience prolonged redness or irritation beyond 48 hours, unexpected breakouts, swelling, discomfort, or any skin changes that feel unusual for you.

Every skin is different and every response is valid. Your personalized recommendations will always be shared at the close of your appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is your skin care safe for sensitive or reactive skin?

A: Yes, that's much of what I do. Every session is gentle and adapted to how your skin is responding that day, with the pace and products adjusted to keep you comfortable. If your skin reacts easily, I'll work slowly and check in with you as we go.

Q: Can I book a session while I'm under active medical care?

A: Yes. I offer gentle skin care focused on comfort and relaxation, with each session paced and adapted to how your skin is responding that day. My work is esthetic and non-medical: I don't diagnose, treat, or address medical conditions. Whether the timing is right for you is a decision best made with you and your healthcare team, and I'll always adapt to their guidance.

Q: Do you personalize each session to my skin?
A: Yes, always. Every session is built around how your skin looks and feels that day, its appearance, reactivity, and comfort. I choose products to support your skin's surface comfort and barrier, and nothing is one-size-fits-all. Everything I do is esthetic and non-medical, focused on relaxation and skin barrier support.

Q: Can I buy products to use at home?

A: Yes. I carry a small, carefully chosen selection of professional skin care lines made for sensitive skin and for anyone who wants a simple, gentle routine at home. The lines I work with can ship orders directly to your door, so reordering between visits is easy. I'm happy to help you pick what suits your skin.

Q: How can I reach you?
A: You can reach Nurtured Soul Wellness by phone at 341-233-4851 or by email at hello@nurturedsoulwellness.com.
I'm always happy to answer questions or walk you through the services I offer. Whether you're ready to book an introductory visit or just want to know what to expect, I'm here to help.
