Post-Session Comfort & Support: Protecting Your Skin Surface

It is common for the skin surface to feel soft or appear slightly flushed following your cosmetic service. These are typical, temporary responses. The suggestions below are offered to support surface comfort and help maintain a refreshed, gentle appearance.

For the First 24 Hours

  • Gentle Skin Surface Support
You may wish to pause the use of surface refining products, including retinoids, acids, enzymes, or manual scrubs.

For the Next 24–72 Hours

  • Minimize Heat and Stimulation
If possible, skip intensive physical activity, saunas, or steam environments that may increase surface warmth.

  • Sun Awareness
You may choose to avoid intentional sun exposure and tanning beds to help protect the skin’s delicate surface.

  • Hair Removal
If possible, refrain from waxing or other mechanical hair removal methods in the area where cosmetic services were performed.

  • Soothing Routine
You may wish to use gentle cleansers and topical moisturizers selected for comfort.

  • Cosmetic Pause
You may choose to limit makeup use if the skin surface feels particularly sensitive.

  • Hands-Off Approach
If possible, avoid touching or picking at the skin surface to support ongoing surface comfort.

Over the Next Few Days

  • Hydration
You may wish to focus on keeping the skin surface well hydrated using gentle topical products.

  • Daily Protection
You may choose to apply sunscreen daily to help safeguard the skin surface.

  • Simplicity
If possible, keep your routine simple and soothing, using products selected for your individual comfort preferences.
